The Hurff Family Association was organized August 31, 1904 at Pitman, Gloucester County, New Jersey. The Annual Reunion of the descendants of Johannes Balthasar Harff is held in September of each year in Southern New Jersey. [More]

feature 1 The Seven Hurff Sisters Mr. Hurff was one of the founders of the numerous family of that name in Gloucester county, being a brother of the late Thomas W. Hurff of Hurffville, and Jonathan, of Sewell, who left large families, and Hiram Hurff, of Cross Keys, and a sister, Mrs. Jesse Prosser, of Turnerville, yet living. Mr. Hurff was born on the farm at Turnerville, and excepting thirteen years resided there his entire life. In private life Mr. Hurff was the soul of honor, opposing everything tinctured with deceit or evasion of the whole and exact truth and true to the highest ideals of correct living. His wife preceded him seven years. Nine children were born to them seven daughters and two sons

feature 2 Conrad Hurff Cradle "Conrad Hurff's Cradle, is in the possession of a member of Evelyn Hurff Cross' family." (Isaac Branch, in VA). Curators in Williamsburg, Va., have dated the cradle's period to be "Circa, 1760's". [More]
